For a non-romantic like me, it’s always a struggle to write a date scene. LOL
Pero kung may favorite date scene siguro ako among my stories, iyon ay ang ending ng Mga Halik Mong Sinungaling. I think it’s cute and effortless.
There was a table set-up with wine, foods and everything. Tapos may music, ‘yung original version ng What A Feeling. Haha! Naisip ko ang music na iyon dahil paborito kong dance scene naman ang sa movie ‘yung What Happens in Vegas.
So ayun, doon sila nag-reconcile at nagkaaminan ng feelings. And they get to dance for the first time, dahil hindi naisayaw noon ni Wade si Dionne sa class reunion.
The scene:
“What the hell?” natatawa at nahihiyang palatak ni Wade.
First, when there’s nothing but a slow glowing dream…
“You know why the kids took us here, right?”
“Yes.” Tumayo ito at lumapit sa kanya.
Well I hear the music, close my eyes, feel the rhythm
Wrap around, take a hold of my heart
What a feeling, being’s believin’
I can have it all, now I’m dancin’ for my life
And they were both enjoying the dance. They were laughing. They were so happy.
He then held her waist and he swayed them both while she was wrapping her hands on his nape.
Now I hear the music, close my eyes, I am rhythm
In a flash it takes hold of my heart
“I miss your kisses so much, Coach,” humihingal na bulong niya dito nang maghiwalay ang mga labi nila.
“You’ll get more of it later, Ma’am,” sabi naman nito. “For now, let’s just dance.”
She grinned.
Their bodies gracefully rocked together to the rhythm of the music playing.
Take your passion, and make it happen
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life
Hinila siya padikit sa katawan nito. “I love you, Dionne,” bulong ni Wade sa tenga niya saka siya hinalikan doon.
“And, I love you, too, Wade. Marry me soon?”
“Sooner than you think.”
“What is your favorite date scene from the novels you’ve written?”
