Award-winning novels are hitting the shelves of major National Book Store branches nationwide. And it is happening today!
National Book Store highlights the best-of-the-best in the recent Aklat Awards 2017 which was held last January 27, 2018 at the Precious Events Center in Quezon City. Aklat Awards creates an avenue for Filipino writers and illustrators from different publications to showcase their talents. This annual event gives book readers and audiences a glimpse of what’s the best among the local published books during the previous year.
Maricar Dizon’s Moonbride centers the shelves for bagging the Novel Of The Year award. National Bookstore also features An Online Romance Trilogy by Nikki Karenina, Marione Ashley, and Cady Lorenzana, under Precious Hearts Romances, which has won the Most Favorite Miniseries. Cady Lorenzana’s International Billionaires also hits the shelves for winning the Most Favorite Series. 40 Days to Heaven by Heart Yngrid and Love Story by Sonia Francesca secured their spaces as the twin winners in the Most Favorite Single Novel category. Vampire’s Vow by Spring Mendez and Victoria Amor’s Club Red: Azir are also highlighted, each being the Most Favorite Gothic Novel.
Ang Supremo at Ang Kuweba, written by April Jade Biglaen and illustrated by Ivan Reverente, Lampara’s Most Favorite Children’s Book, is also included in the featured novels winners, as well as Ice Habunal’s Black Cat, which won in the Most Favorite Comic Book category.
Other books that topped the list are: Bloody Crayons by Josh Argonza from Rebel, the Most Favorite Young Adult Novel; Falling Series; and Possessive Series Book 3: Train Wolkzbin by C.C.
